Preview FPS

Pretty sure I've mentioned this before, but the Editor Preview frame-rate is always 30 fps on my current desktop and laptop ( 50 fps on my previous desktop ). Setting the App.FrameRateStyle to Fixed ( any number ) or SyncedWithMonitor doesn't make any difference whatsoever.
The reason for posting this again is because I just realized that the Visualizer plugin has a frame-rate selector that does work on my computer .. so perhaps this issue can be given another look?
