Hello
how to understand the principle of buffers order in BufferBlender?
Example project: google drive
if we looking in Layer "O" - we see:
Buffer 1 is output of Layer "B"
Buffer 2 is first line of content/image (file "gradient-square.png")
Buffer 3 is output of Layer "L"
What the logic of scheme? How to predict which buffer belongs to which layer/content?
If you just try to add new content, simple image - the buffers order will change. And you will see an unexpected result in the preview (distortion)
Maybe there is some kind of manual or hint..
(using FL 20.7.2)
thank you

Hi,

There is some discussion about this effect here: https://forum.image-line.com/viewtopic.php?t=160974

The first image is selected by the "IMG SRC" dropdown.

So this means "Buffer 1" in BufferBlender will be the same image as the one selected in IMG SRC.
Then "Buffer 2" in BufferBlender will be the image after the selected image in the IMG SRC dropdown. And so on.

And yes I agree this is not very intuitive.

Wow! So many thank you! Now we know the true about ordering algorithm in BlenderBuffer!!  :o
How many people I've disturbed to find out... and it turned out that the developer himself can clarify the situation!
Thank you for responding to questions from usual users!

Huge thanks for your amazing ZGameEditor Visualizer! judging by various videos on YouTube - to my mind this is the only visualizer that can do the tricks similar to After Effects visualizations (best or one of the best instrument for music visualizations)

found this topic long ago. And that confused me even more. I even published a request on reddit. It's so great that we have a chance to get an answer even from the developer!

the point is... if you try to reproduce in FL 20.7 all the steps from this topic exactly, you get a different unexpected result. This is very confusing. Moreover, it is even more difficult for a beginner to figure it out.
the thing is around pass trough and displace
Video in googe disk - show how reproducing.
thank you!

I'll take a detailed look at your video in a few days. It is possible that there is a bug somewhere but I would have expected it to be reported somewhere by now.

Thanks for your supportive words.

Have you seen Craccos youtube channel? https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCBubSz ... aNa5gO_iNg
He often uses BufferBlender.

You are correct "Passthrough" mode does not work. Thanks for reporting this problem. I will fix it for the 20.7.3 release coming soon.

You can try this version for now.
